A contractor coordinates and supervises every aspect of a building or remodeling project. They secure permits for the project, hire workers, schedule individual projects, and oversee the work of other subcontractors. A GC has to ensure that all of the work is done correctly, without voiding product warranties or guarantees. They also secure the workplace, making sure debris is disposed of properly.
